Explore the Universe with UC Santa Cruz Professor Thakurta

Professor Thakurta will share how astronomers use light (spectra) to discover unusual red supergiant stars in nearby galaxies (M31 & M33), and what they reveal about how stars form and evolve. Designed for middle and high school students (but open to anyone curious about astrophysics):
