Mid-Autumn Festival at the Los Altos History Museum
Los Altos History Museum , in partnership with the Greater Los Altos Chinese Community Association (GLACCA), invites the community to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on Sunday, September 15, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm .This traditional festival, also called the Moon Festival, originally served to thank the moon for the harvest. It now symbolizes family reunions and includes prayers for health and happiness. GLACCA unites Chinese Americans from Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and nearby areas, offering cultural and educational programs that showcase Chinese heritage.
Festival attendees can enjoy Chinese drinks and snacks, fan painting, crafting edible art, lantern with riddles, traditional Chinese sports, and a performance of dance and music.
Admission is $10 per person, with free entry for seniors 65 and over, children 12 and under, and Museum members.
