DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of genealogy research and start building your family tree with this free workshop. Attendees will learn how to research their family genealogy. Taught by volunteers from the Los Altos Chapter\, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)\, the workshop will cover research strategies\, genealogy websites and databases\, and organizing information. The attendees will then work in small groups with volunteer instructors to develop individualized strategies for their own family tree research. Class participants will receive some prework to help them start building their family trees. Register in advance with the Los Altos Recreation Department at 650-947-2790
